What Is Revival?
Revival is a sovereign act of God in which His Spirit powerfully transforms individuals, churches, and communities. It begins with repentance and a renewed commitment to God, fostering deep intimacy with Him. Revival is evidenced through:
- Renewal: Believers humbling themselves, turning from sin, and pursuing holiness (“and My people who are called by My name humble themselves, and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.” – 2 Chronicles 7:14, NASB).
- Corporate Awakening: Churches becoming vibrant through fervent worship, compelling preaching, and intercessory prayer.
- Community Transformation: Unbelievers coming to salvation, broken relationships mended, and societal renewal driven by the Gospel’s power.
Revival is not merely emotional or programmatic; it is characterized by the manifest presence of God transforming His people and extending outward to bring healing and salvation (“Arise, shine; for your light has come, and the glory of the Lord has risen upon you.” – Isaiah 60:1, NASB).
Facilitating a Move of God
To foster an environment where revival can flourish, we commit to the following:
- Persistent Prayer
- Hosting regular gatherings dedicated to seeking God’s face.
- Unity Among Churches
- Promoting humility and love across congregations, setting aside differences to glorify Christ (“so that they may all be one; just as You, Father, are in Me, and I in You, that they also may be in Us, so that the world may believe that You sent Me.” – John 17:21, NASB).
- Sharing resources, testimonies, and encouragement to build one another up.
- Focus on Repentance
- Confessing personal and corporate sin, turning away from pride, idolatry, and complacency (“Cleanse your hands, you sinners; and purify your hearts, you double-minded.” – James 4:8, NASB).
- Establishing accountability and cultivating a culture that pursues holiness.
- Worship and the Word
- Exalting Jesus Christ through Spirit-led worship and faithful teaching of Scripture.
- Allowing room for the Holy Spirit to move, fostering repentance, healing, and deliverance.
- Outreach and Evangelism
- Equipping believers to share the Gospel practically and lovingly.
- Collaborating with ministries to address both physical and spiritual needs within the community.
